Star Rise

Stretched out across the black lake my soul
alights—
flickers midst a vibrant horizon

Creator’s pot,
full—
stuff of creation.

Stone hearts
sparked
the fuse.

Jesus —
Christ conceived,
Creator concealed.

Christ –
color incarnate,
work of light.
